Commodity Watch: Aluminium futures firm on global cues

New Delhi: Aluminium prices extended gains for the fifth straight session, rising Rs 1.95 to Rs 338.10 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday, tracking firm trends in the global markets. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for the April delivery increased Rs 1.95, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 338.10 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,722 lots.
Copper robust on positive overseas trends
Copper prices climbed Rs 12.30 to Rs 1,151.20 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday, driven by firm demand in the domestic market and positive global trends. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the red metal for April delivery increased by Rs 12.30, or 1.08 per cent, to Rs 1,151.20 per kg in a business turnover of 9,652 lots.
Zinc climbs over 1% amid firm global strength
Zinc prices rose more than 1 per cent to Rs 313.65 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday tracking strength in overseas markets. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for April delivery gained Rs 3.80, or 1.23 per cent, to Rs 313.65 per kg in a business turnover of 2,165 lots.
